The Adventures of Pedal-Paddle

I’ve been running like crazy and so much has happened! Pedal-Paddle I and I have had great adventures this past month. I continued to meet people all around the Dallas area and at last count had ridden Pedal-Paddle on 20 Dallas area lakes. In October I had a trip to Shreveport, Louisiana and had on incredible time on Caddo Lake. With it’s ability to float and maneuver in 3” |

of water I zig-zagged through the trees. It was almost eerie as Pedal-Paddle and I skimmed along the serene beauty of Caddo Lake. What a mysterious and unique place. From there we went north and enjoyed several Lakes in Arkansas. The big thrill of October was the national scenic rivers of southern Missouri. I actually parked the pick up and rode Pedal-Paddle 4 to 5 miles on roads up river as the white water ‘rafted’ down. The canoes take out for the rapids but Pedal-Paddle I and I went crashing down every rapid. What a thrill ride! And at the end of every ‘thrill spill’ was a ‘cool pool’ with fish darting all around underneath me. It was at that I realized Pedal-Paddles unique view advantage of what’s under the water. I could see down into the clear water unlike anything I had ever been on the water with before.
I meet Vicki in St. Louis for the National Recreation and Parks Show and Pedal-Paddle was the hit of the show. We actually had people come by looking for us under the recommendation of others saying “Pedal-Paddle’ is the coolest thing here; you got to see it!” I love it when that happens. Several Army folks, state and city parks want Pedal-Paddles for their outdoor recreation programs because they’re tired of paying thousands of dollars for nice rental quality paddle boats and then spending hundreds of dollars keeping them up. They taught us that if Pedal-Paddle gears and chain go out it’s a $20 replacement because they’re just typical bicycle parts…they’re right. Another plus for Pedal-Paddle! See ya next time!
