The Adventures of Pedal-Paddle
January 2004

Jay Perdue - Owner of Pedal-Paddle

In January I restricted my Pedal-Paddling to land. I’ve been working on an electric version of Pedal-Paddle and what we’ve come up with is so good we’re going to sell it as an electric bicycle also. It’s amazingly simple, fast and has a good battery life. I rode it all over for about 50 minutes without pedaling and then assisted the motor

for about 10 more minutes until the battery was completely run out.

I love how quiet it runs. I have to admit it spoiled me. Our earlier water tests went perfect as well. It is a sealed electric motor into a planetary gear reduction so it is great on the lake or in the rain. But I cannot guarantee it in the lake. If you ever flip your Pedal-Paddle upside down you may have just bought a new motor. They’re not expensive, but I would sure be careful. If you love splash fights and “king of the Pedal-Paddle wars” Pedal-Paddle electric is not for you. But if you like exercising when you want to and power or power-assisted sounds then it’s for you and if you like being dryer and keeping it “sunny side up”, you’ll love Pedal-Paddle electric. You know we have a gas powered Pedal-Paddle too, if an hours not enough go power for you then Pedal-Paddle gasoline is your best choice. All the same rules apply, but keeping your Pedal-Paddle right side up is easy, unless of course you like Pedal-Paddle surfing, then I’m not so sure.

Hey, I’ve got big, huge, humongous Pedal-Paddle news coming in my next article so don’t miss the March issue of “The Adventures of Pedal-Paddle #1” coming soon to a computer near you!

Until then,
God Bless,
Jay Perdue
